Program requirements


For friends and family:

$50 for you, $50 for a friend or family member when your friend opens an eligible First Financial Bank checking account* and completes the following within 90 days:

  1. Have at least 10 debit card transactions (excluding ATM transactions) of $10 or more, AND
  2. Have at least two direct deposits of at least $500 deposited in the account.

Please allow approximately 3 weeks for delivery of your Visa® Virtual Reward Card.


For businesses:

$50 for you, $150 for a business when the business you refer opens an eligible First Financial Bank business checking account* and completes the following within 90 days:

  1. Complete cumulative deposits totaling $2,000 or more, AND
  2. Complete 10 or more payment transactions of at least $25 each (excluding ATM transactions).

Please allow approximately 3 weeks for delivery of your Visa® Virtual Reward Card.

Open the First Financial Bank mobile app and navigate to the Refer-A-Friend tile on your dashboard. Click “Refer Now”. 

Click on the check box and hit “Accept” at the bottom of your screen.


To refer friends, family, or a business, you can fill out their information (make sure you use the right email address), or share via text or social media.

It's easy! Complete the registration form on this page or get your referral link through online or mobile banking and refer your friends, family members or a business. Once your friend or family member registers and completes the program requirements you'll both receive a $50 Visa® Virtual Reward Card. You can earn up to $500 in rewards per calendar year. If you refer a busines, the business will receive a $150 Visa® Virtual Reward Card.

Referrers can share an unlimited number of referrals with friends and family members, but they will only be rewarded up to the $500 cap per calendar year for their qualified referrals. If a Referrer reaches the $500 maximum and their referred friend still qualifies, only the new account holder would be issued a reward.  

Yes! We'd love for you to share your positive banking experiences with your friends, family, and even businesses you may know. 

You can refer a business and if they complete the requirements within 90 days, you'll receive a $50 Visa®  Virtual Reward Card and they'll receive a $150 Visa® Virtual Reward Card.

Due to confidentiality requirements, we can't provide any information about those who have registered or their progress to completing the required activities. Feel free to encourage your referred friend call us to check on their status!  

Your Visa® Virtual Reward Card will arrive in the email you used when signing up for the program approximately three weeks after the person you referred completes the requirements.

Your Visa® Virtual Reward Card is available for 6 months after you receive it. After the expiration date on the virtual card passes, the funds will be unavailable. 

Once you receive your Visa® Virtual Reward Card you can use it to shop online, over the phone, or via mail order.

Yes, the rewards are subject to taxes. It is the responsibility of the individual receiving the reward to properly report earnings as taxable income.

Yes! Per the program Terms & Conditions, as a Referee you must have an eligible checking account in order to be rewarded, and as a Referred Person you must meet all requirements including to have an eligible checking account.   

All participants in the Refer-a-Friend program must be 18 years of age or older. 

A qualifying direct deposit must be an electronic deposit of your paycheck, pension, or government benefits (such as Social Security) from your employer or the government. Peer-to-peer transactions, including but not limited to Zelle® and Venmo®, do not qualify as direct deposits under the Program.

* Eligible accounts do not include Health Savings Accounts (HSA), money market, individual retirement accounts (IRA), certificate of deposit (CD), or savings accounts.
